Welcome to
the
YANNI
PARTNERS INVESTMENT MANAGER CENTER
This section of our web site is dedicated to communicating with the investment
management community. Developing and maintaining relationships with investment
managers is very important to us.
Yanni Partners is
one of a select group of investment consulting firms that
maintains its own proprietary databases of investment product
performance results, related statistics and distinguishing
product characteristics. GRID® (Graphical Ranking of Investment
Descriptors) contains data from more than 1,400 investment
management firms, representing nearly 9,500 products across
all asset classes.

Participant
Yanni Partners is looking for new products to consider as
potential investment vehicles. By participating in the GRID® and/or
CA$H™ databases your products are given consideration
when Yanni Partners' consulting staff conducts manager search
projects.
There is no charge to participate in these databases, and
the product specific information submitted is for the sole
use of Yanni Partners. Click here for information
on participating in the GRID®and/or CA$H databases.

Manager
Meetings
Yanni Partners
considers manager due diligence a very important part of its
investment consulting services. Personal meetings with managers
to understand and evaluate their philosophy, process and people
is a very integral part of our ongoing research and monitoring.
Typically, we would like investment managers to come into
our Firm once a year for each product, and we believe it is
almost always more helpful if there is an investment person
(e.g. Portfolio Manager, Analyst) present or on-call during
the meeting.
All
requests for manager meetings should be sent, in email format,
to Pittsburgh.GBS.MGRMeetings@AJG.com. The following information should be included in the
email request:
- Company Name
- Names of individuals attending the
meeting, along with titles and complete contact information
- Product Name
- A copy of the most recent presentation
booklet. NOTE: If you have completed Yanni Partners
online product questionnaire, and entered performance data,
a copy of the presentation book is not required.
- Requested meeting
date(s) – NOTE: Yanni Partners is not open for manager
meetings starting approximately the 16 th day following
the end of each quarter for a five-week period. The specific
non-meeting dates for 2010 are listed below.
Upon
receipt of your complete email meeting request, you will be
contacted within two to three business days to schedule the
meeting.
What
do we expect?
Yanni Partners
believes that qualitative analysis on Investment Managers
is as important as quantitative analysis. The purpose of manager
meetings is to gain a better understanding of the manager’s
organization, investment philosophy and process. Before our
meeting, please fill-out the Manager
Information Request form, which is sent to
you when the meeting is scheduled. This information is kept
in our Manager Database and is used to make a qualitative
assessment of the manager for upcoming searches.
Who
meets with you?
Yanni Partners’
consulting staff (consultants and analysts) is organized into
five manager research teams. When a manager meeting is scheduled,
an invitation outlining the details of the meeting (e.g. manager,
product) is sent out to all five research groups. For example,
if you are coming to discuss a Large Cap product, you can
expect to see more people from the Large Cap Research team
but other team members may join due to interest and availability.
When
do we meet?
We meet with managers
all year long, but we do have four black-out
periods through out the year. Black-out periods are when we
prepare our quarterly reports and meet with our clients. Yanni
Partners believes that manager meetings are important and
should be equally beneficial for both parties. Since we think
that good attendance from our part is crucial for the Manager,
we feel that it is more advantageous to have meetings when
more Yanni Partners consulting staff is available.
